Glass splashback ideas for the small bathroom

Bathroom Splashback

Glass bathroom splashbacks are more popular than ever, and for very good reason. They are easy to clean, more hygienic than bathroom tiles, and look ultra modern. Plus, glass splashbacks, when installed in your bathroom, can be personalised to your unique taste and style. Below we share some great ideas on how to use glass splashbacks in a small bathroom.

Use a neutral colour

One of the best ways in which to make a small bathroom appear bigger is to use neutral colours. Opt for glass splashbacks in pale green, blue and yellow tones, doing so will instantly make the room appear fresher and lighter.

Make a focal point

There really is nothing stopping you from creating a focal point in your bathroom with printed glass splashbacks, but it is best to use prints on only one wall. Ideas can include those of nature themes, such as trees, butterflies and flowers. The real beauty though is that any design can be printed. Just let your imagination go wild!

Add a splash of colour

Don’t be afraid to use colour in a small bathroom, but once again, it is best to stick to using coloured glass splashbacks on one wall, or one specific area, such as behind the sink or in the shower space. Reds, greens and blues all work wonderfully well in a bathroom, but remember to keep the rest of the decor and walls as neutral as possible.

The mirrored splashback

One fantastic way in which to create the illusion of more space in a small bathroom, is with the use of mirrored glass splashbacks. Ideally, these types of glass splashbacks are best used on the wall nearest to the sink, as they can provide both a functional mirror and a protective covering for your bathroom wall.

In the shower

Glass splashbacks work wonderfully well in a shower room. When you incorporate a splash of colour, or a patterned glass splashback, it can really make shower time fun, especially for the kids. Just remember that it is well worth considering toughened glass splashbacks for that added peace of mind.
